Retargeting with WebAnimate

In WebAnimate different retargeting models can be used. Both bone rotation data and bone position data can be passed from a source character to the target character. The models can be broadly divided into

  • Animation retargeting

Here joint/bone animation data is passed from a source character to the target character

  • Constraints retargeting

Here Position and/or orientation data from a source character is passed to the target character as an IK constraint

  • Combination of A and B

Both rotation bone data and position data can be passed to the target as FK animation and targets. This is used for quick rigging and animation.
