Position Constraint Attributes

Position Constraints specified via the retargeting and rigging process have a number of parameters for tuning

  • Scale - this determines the scale of the target constraint in respect to the source bone position. For retargeting from a smaller character to a larger target this would be larger than 1 and vice versa. WebAnimate automatically calculates this and this panel is available for fine tuning.
  • Offset - the offset of the position constraint in respect to the original animation used for keyframing.
  • Active - enables/disables the constraint
  • Depth - how deep to the root the solver calculates the motion. Depth=1 propagates the motion only to the parent.
  • DOF - enable or disable individual degree of freedom in the solve. This can be used to only solve for X Y or any combination.
  • Weight - Weight of this constraint in reference to the remaining constraints (from 0 to larger values)
  • Precision - the precision of the constraint in respect to the remaining constraints (from 0 to larger values)
