IKINEMA Action for Maya

Animation inputs

IKINEMA animates with the help of constraints (or tasks) that are specified on the chain by the user. These constraints are specified on the joints in the chain to let IKINEMA select the orientation of the intermediate joints for achieving rapidly realistic body postures. The constraints used to produce the body posture are divided into the following categories:

  • Position of the joint
  • Orientation of the joint as full-body constraint
  • Orientation of the joint as a local constraint
  • Look-at task
  • Centre of Mass Task
  • Force input for joint(s)
  • Animation information for joint, retargeting
  • Limits information for joint(s)
